Question:  We plan to visit Salvo this July and are interested in learning of any visible ship wrecks in the area.

Answer:  There is a well known ship wreck close to the beach in Salvo.  It is know locally as "The Richmond".  It is approximately 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile North of Ramp 23, which is just South of Salvo, placing the wreck very near the center of Salvo.
